1. Authorship and licence

CHINCHILLA AI-agent packages are distributed free of charge under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0): https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode. An agent package includes the instruction file agent.md, the content, the examples, the test suite and the test results. You may copy, adapt and share the agents, including for commercial purposes, as long as you give attribution.

2. How to give attribution

Whenever you share an agent, original or modified, state:

the agent's name, its CHINCHILLA number and id, and the version;
the credit and link: "© CHINCHILLA — https://chinchilla.quest";;
the licence and its link: "CC BY 4.0 — https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/";;
a note of changes: what you changed, or "no changes".

If a file already has an attribution line, do not remove it. Add your own note of changes next to it.

3. Name and logo

The CHINCHILLA name, logo and other project marks are not licensed under CC BY 4.0. Do not use them:

in the name of derived agents, products, services or domains;
in any way that suggests CHINCHILLA endorses, has reviewed, supports or publishes your version, or works with you.

A truthful credit under section 2, such as "based on a CHINCHILLA agent", is allowed and required.

4. No warranty

The agents are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, as set out in the official CC BY 4.0 legal code. This does not limit any mandatory rights that consumers have by law. Published test results apply to a specific version and test date. They do not guarantee that the agent will behave the same way in the future.

5. Agent outputs

Outputs are drafts. Check them before you use them.
Outputs are not legal, tax, accounting, medical, veterinary, financial or investment advice, and they do not replace a professional.
Markers such as "confirm", "check" or "уточнить" mean the information has not been verified. Check it against an official or primary source.
The agent runs on your own AI platform (for example, Claude Code). The platform provider sets the terms of use, costs, limits, availability in your country and data handling. You are responsible for complying with them.
An agent is not an emergency service. If life, health or property is at risk, call the emergency services.

What this licence covers

The licence covers each agent package in registry/agents/<id>/:

the agent instruction file (agent.md);
the agent content (content.json, examples/);
the test suite and test results (tests/);
README.md and CHANGELOG.md.

The licence does not cover:

the CHINCHILLA name, logo or other trademarks (see NOTICE.md);
the website code and design of chinchilla.quest;
third-party projects listed on the site's download pages, which remain under their own authors' licences;
names of third-party products, platforms and laws mentioned inside the agents. These are used only to refer to them.
