Version 1.0 · in force from 5 October 2026
The marks and their artwork are not licensed under CC BY 4.0. They may be used only under these rules.
1. The marks
- CHINCHILLA Verified — file
badge-verified.svg; - CHINCHILLA Verified Multilingual —
badge-multilingual.svg; - CHINCHILLA Verified Operational —
badge-operational.svg; - CHINCHILLA Partner —
badge-partner.svg.
Files: https://chinchilla.quest/verified/badge-verified.svg and likewise for the others.
2. Who may display a mark
- An agent mark — for an agent version with a valid certificate in the public registry, and only at the level stated in the certificate.
- Anyone who uses a certified CHINCHILLA agent unchanged and on the configuration named in the certificate may display the mark next to the agent's name and version.
- If the agent has been changed in any way, the mark is not displayed. A truthful credit is allowed: "based on the CHINCHILLA agent … (CC BY 4.0)".
- The partner mark — only partners listed in the partner registry, and only for their own level.
3. How to display it
- Use the file unchanged: do not alter its colours, text or proportions or add elements.
- Width at least 96 pixels; clear space around the mark at least a quarter of its height.
- The mark always links to the registry entry:
https://chinchilla.quest/<language>/verified/registry/#<agent id>. - The agent's name, its version and the language groups from the certificate are shown next to it.
- Text alternative (alt): "CHINCHILLA Verified — <agent name>, version <version>".
Example:
<a href="https://chinchilla.quest/en/verified/registry/#commerce01"><img src="https://chinchilla.quest/verified/badge-verified.svg" width="120" alt="CHINCHILLA Verified — Classified Ad Seller, version 1.3.0"></a>
4. How to check a mark
Anyone can open the registry entry from the mark's link and compare the version, level, date and status. For a full check, download the agent package and compare the SHA-256 hash of agent.md with the hash in the registry. A mark without a link to the registry, or showing a different version, is not valid.
5. Forbidden uses
- displaying the mark on a changed agent, or on another agent, product, model or platform;
- claiming a higher level, or language groups not in the certificate;
- using the mark after the certificate has expired, been suspended or been revoked;
- suggesting that CHINCHILLA endorses a company, its services or its legal compliance, or that the mark is a government permit, a warranty or a "security seal";
- including the mark or the CHINCHILLA name in product names, company names, domain names or logos;
- using the mark for fraudulent, misleading or forbidden purposes, or for agents that cannot receive the mark under section 16 of the methodology;
- displaying the partner mark without being listed in the partner registry, or using it as a mark of agent verification.
6. Misuse
Misuse of a mark can be reported through the form on the website. Misuse may lead to revocation of a certificate or removal from the partner registry (section 14 of the methodology and section 8 of the Partner Programme); CHINCHILLA reserves all rights in its marks and name.
